Joshua Carl is a versatile actor and vocalist whose recent stage work showcases both emotional depth and comedic flair. He has played the charismatic Judah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the blustery executive J.B. Biggley in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, the high-energy wild child Terk in Disney’s Tarzan the Musical, and also took the stage as the title character in the Nebraska premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. His performances reflect a strong command of character development, musicality, and dynamic stage presence across a wide range of roles.
In May of 2025, Joshua was named one of the Top 10 national finalists in the coveted Jimmy Awards® Student Reporter Search. Representing the Nebraska Theater Academy in Omaha, NE, he got the chance to talk to local media, interview performers and prospective Jimmy Award nominees at NTA’s Showcase in June, and shone among nearly 100 hopefuls, rolling forward his dream of Broadway‑level journalism and performance. A two‐time Nebraska Thespians “Thespy” awardee for solo musical performance, he’s steadily building a resume that bridges traditional stagecraft with next‑gen storytelling—from acting and singing to writing, videography, and graphic design. As he heads into senior year, Joshua continues to honor the time‑tested path of theatrical development while pushing toward innovative cross‑media success.
